Francisco Transport - A great way to travel
around the city is by rail. You can see a lot and
travel quickly and inexpensively with this means of
transportation. The San Francisco Municipal Railway,

You can travel on buses and streetcars for $1 for
adults, 35¢ for seniors and children 5 to 17.
Cable cars, which run from 6:30am to 1:30am, cost
a whopping $2 for all people over 5 ($1 for seniors
6:30-7am and 9pm-midnight). Muni offers discount passes,
called Passports and it costs $6 for 1 day or $10
for 3 days. The Muni's City Pass,
which costs $33 for adults, $26 for seniors 65 and
older, and $24 for kids 5 to 17 gives you unlimited
rides for 7 days.
Cable Car operates from approximately
6:30am to 1:30am, and each ride costs $2. The Buses
cost $1 for adults and 35¢ for seniors over 65
and children 5 to 17. The Streetcar fares are the
same as for buses, and passes are accepted. Bart --
BART, an acronym for Bay Area Rapid Transit (tel.
415/989-2278; www.bart.gov), is the rail network and
fares are from $1.15 to $4.30.
If you choose you may also Rent a Car in
San Francisco. Be sure to pay attention to
the parking signs to avoid getting tickets. The fines
can be enormous so be sure to get the low down from
the area attractions that you are visiting for parking
situations. Also, check with your hotel they may have
shuttle provisions to the different attractions at
no cost and that is of the utmost convenience. Whatever
way you decide to get around the city you can be assured
